FREE New Moon Layout for Myspace 2.0

I just finished reading New Moon. I wish I would have waited until November to pick up this book, because now I feel like I have an eternity to wait before the movie comes out. Admittedly, not a fan of Twilight (the movie. I loved the book) and I am really looking forward to the sequel now that they are putting a little cash behind the franchise. So I scoured the internet and snagged pics from here and there, and put together this freebie for you. I am EVEN HOSTING THE IMAGES FOR YOU! (Something GbS doesn't generally offer).

So here's your FREE 2.0 Layout for your myspace profile. It features the Cullens and Jacob Black's Pack flanking Bella while she walks carelessly (as always) into danger.

Follow the instructions below for your New Moon 2.0 layout.
# 1. Paste PART 1 in your "General" (click) section and Save.
# 2. Next, click "Profile" then "Customize Profile"
# 3. Select "No Theme" then click "CSS".
# 4. Paste PART 2 in the CSS codebox then click the orange "Publish" button at the top right.

Now that your layout is installed you can arrange the boxes within your profile however you like. Simply drag and drop the boxes in the profile below (while in "Customize Profile" mode) into different positions. Add and remove different boxes by clicking on "Modules" on the left. You can also change how many columns you have and what size of boxes go where by going into the "Change Layout" section, which is listed below "Select Theme"

Change Basic Information Pics on Myspace 2.0

Profile > Customize Profile > Modules >

Then hover your mouse over your Basic Information Module.
Click the Pencil and Paper Logo to Edit Basic Information.
The next screen should be the one you are looking for.
Choose the pictures you want to display and save your changes.

Intalling a Background and Banner

First UPLOAD your Background Graphic to your image host. If you use photobucket please ensure that the option for "Reduce Image Size to 1 Megabyte File Size" is selected BEFORE you choose your file to upload. If you do not choose this your background may be resized and may not look right.

Here is your code and instructions...

FOR YOUR BACKGROUND
1 Sign in to Blogger. This will take you to your Dashboard.
2 Under the blog you wish to change the background for, click on Layout.
3 You will need to make sure you are using the MINIMA Template, so Click on "Pick New Template" Select Minima if you haven't already and click "Save Template"
4 Now Click Page Elements
5 You are now in the 'Add and Arrange Page Elements' screen. Click 'Add a Gadget'.
6 You are now in the 'Add a Gadget' screen. Scroll down to where it says 'HTML/JavaScript'. Next to that, click on the (+) sign.
7 You are now in the 'Configure HTML/JavaScript' Screen. Under Content you'll see a large box, paste the entire following HTML code in that space.
8 Give it a title, maybe something like Layout Designed by Graphics by Steph
9 Click 'Save'.
10 You're DONE!

FOR YOUR HEADER
1 On the Page Elements page. Click on Edit link for the header page element.
2 In the image section, select “From your computer” and click on browse button and select the image from your computer.
3 Where it says placement, ensure that INSTEAD OF TITLE AND DESCRIPTION is checked.
4 Now click on “SAVE” button bellow.

Then click on “SAVE” button at Page Elements page. And everything is done now.

ADVANCED and OPTIONAL Tweek for your header...

How to delete the two thin lines around your header.

Under the LAYOUT tab, Click EDIT HTML
IMPORTANT--->Download a copy of your current template before attempting to change it.!!!!
After you have downloaded a copy of your HTML, go to the portion of your code where the border is.

It will look something like this: /* Header

Now look for the line looks like this; border:1px solid $bordercolor;

Change the number of px to 0

There are TWO places to do this. Scroll down just a little bit to find the second one.

Just wanted to share :) I got a coupon for 40% off any one item at Joann Fabric & Craft Store. Good Online and In Stores. Good through June 13th. Print it out and use it as many times as you want! When ever I print mine, I always print out an extra one to give to someone in line with me :) 90% of the time they don't have the coupon and it just makes their day! How to Link Images to your Site or Profile

How to Add Images to your Myspace Profile

First Open a Photobucket Account or Sign into your Photobucket Account.

Once your account is set-up and you have uploaded some images, find the image you want to use on your MySpace page. Underneath the picture you will see a series of links. Find the one that says "HTML Code" This is the code you want to use. It will look something like the link below (all on one line):

In the [Edit Profile] portion of your MySpace account, place the link in the section on the page where you like it displayed.

Using the PLACE comand in PSE6

Another little tutorial for a one of my wonderful clients, Riley's Room.

Alright, this one is probably one of my favorite little tricks. I have made Riley's Room a watermark and this is the way I would suggest applying it.

While in Photoshop Elements 6 and your image open (and resized) you'll want to select
File>Place...
From there you will see your files open, find your watermark and select it.
Then you should see your watermark placed on top of your image with a "x" through it.
Click the green check to place it on your project.

At this point if your watermark is not on top of your image you can move it to the top in your palette bin.

Tada! Your Done, Save Your Work!

How to Resize your pics in PSE6

Writing this small tutorial for a client of mine. Hope you find it useful.

First with your image open choose
Image>Resize>Image Size

Click to View Larger

Then you should see this box pop up. For this example we are going to use a watermark that has a maximum width of 800 so we want to do a couple things here. FIRST change your resolution to 72 pixels/inch. Then make sure Constrain Proportions is checked. THEN change your width to 800. Hit OK.
